Charlotte AutoFair, produced and presented by the Hornets Nest Region AACA, is the largest and greatest Collector Vehicle Event in the Southeast. The Hornets Nest Region is a unit of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA).

The Hornets Nest Region established the Charlotte AutoFair in April 1978 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and has continued to develop it as the premier collector vehicle event in the country. The Charlotte AutoFair has gained a worldwide reputation for being a well-organized, excellent presentation of collector vehicles and parts. Success of that event led to the birth of a second event in the Fall — Hornets Nest Auto Fest — beginning in 1990.

Now, each Spring and Fall, the Hornets Nest Region AACA presents a three-day event that includes thousands of Vendors selling collector vehicle parts, tires, glass, collectibles, and restoration supplies. There is something for every enthusiast, no matter their particular field of interest. Each event includes a wide range of parts vendors, collector car sales in the Car Corral, multiple car shows, and other exciting attractions.

In the Spring, Charlotte AutoFair has grown to more than 5,000 Vendor spaces – so much so that it fills the infield of the Speedway, and overflows outside to encompass the Green and Red Fields. The Fall event, with more than 3,000 Vendor spaces, is held on the Speedway property, just outside the Track, in the Green Field.

Collector Vehicles for sale

In the Spring, the Car Corral is located on the back stretch of the main track oval, and offers hundreds of spaces for collector vehicles for sale.

The Fall (September) event also utilizes paved areas for the Car Corral. In addition, during both the Spring and Fall events, some hobbyists sell collector vehicles on their Flea Market spaces. The result is that generally, hundreds of collector vehicles can be expected to be on sale in the Spring and Fall.
